I made this website to share a little bit more about myself. There's a biography section a little further down, so you can read up on me if that piques your interest. This website was created during my twitch.tv livestreams (linked in the socials section). The website's manifestation was editted into a youtube video showcasing the learning curve and helpful resources to make your own website. That video is showcased below!
I am Ben, a 24 year old Electrical Engineer, residing in New York City.
I grew up in the city with my parents and my older brother. As a child,
I was constantly fiddling with electronics, as my grandfather was an
Electrical Engineer. He used to tell me of fascinating stories of his
job, as he was on the team that sent the first Satelite into space for
America. (The USSR beat us to the punch, in case you were wondering.)
Because of my grandfather, I had become interested in two things:
programming and electronics. In high school I joined a course in
robotics; this allowed me to try out coding, circuit design, with some
added mechatronics. I loved it. And so when applying to college, it was
a no-brainer to become an Electrical Engineer.

Throughout college I enjoyed lab courses the most, as I preferred
hands-on experience fiddling with electronics, and of course, yelling at
my code to work. I especially enjoyed small systems, microcontrollers,
and computer operational systems. Thinking back, it would have made a
lot more sense to go into Computer Systems Engineering, but I didn't
know what that was at application time. While in college, my brother
found me a great internship at a private museum. There, I did everything
I loved -- programming, circuitry and PCB design, and I got to build and
test everything myself! My projects were my babies -- all my own
creativity and work in physical form. They were a slightly unstable
employer, and I was actually a private contractor -- not an employee. So
I figured it was not a job to return to after college. I graduated in
        2023 with a 3.76, earning myself a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with
        Magna Cum Laude honors.

After college, I followed the path of many EEs, diving straight into the
pit that is Silicon Valley -- well it's technically a valley, but you
get the point. I worked as an Engineer on a team there, developing and
testing tools to create Silicon Wafers -- they create all the integrated
circuits of the world (you may know them as microchips, or more
casually, chips). This job had a lot of mechanical engineering, a lot of
chemistry and materials science, and a ton of stress and deadlines. No
circuitry design and no programming. This to say -- I learned it was not
my preferred field. My life in California had been tough; I missed my
family, and my paternal grandparents were in and out of the hospital
frequently. While in California I began occasionally streaming and I
made a few youtube videos (one of which is still up on my channel... the
        others have been disgarded).

That youtube video set me right up for failure, in the best way
possible. I once again was reminded of my passion for programming and
microelectronics (not microchips). I decided with the money I had saved
in the year and a half working in the Valley, I would return home and
either find a job I liked, or work tirelessly on my youtube videos. Upon
taking the leap of faith and returning to New York City, I called up a
contact from the museum I had worked. They said they were settling on a
lease, but I had a job as soon as they had a space. I waited... And I
waited... Wasting away my days for a couple months, my allowance slowly
diminishing. Then I realized -- this is the perfect time to work on my
youtube channel. Boom, welcome to the present. It is May 2025 and I am
still waiting, but this time, proactively.

Nothing is here yet...
